With antibiotic doses, you can test results. Give 1000 people with a similar infection different doses and you will understand what dose is best. You can't do that with economies. You don't have the luxury of giving the American economy different amounts of stimulus to see what amount of spending works. .........With antibiotics if you give a dose that is too much - there is little downside. But with deficit spending - someone has to pay the money back. There is a cost. Not only is there a cost, but there is interest due on that cost. Why wasn't the stimulus bigger?
