Webb

I am not saying that the fact that information somwhow gets leaked to institutions is legal or even moral, but it does happen. Also, there are reasons that the company like to keep up relations with brokerages and funds. If QNTM needs to raise capital (secondary offering, debt offering, ...) they need a banker. Having a good relationship with the analyst at an investment banking firm is always a good idea. I've seen many companies, albeit most less experienced than QNTM, get screwed during an equity offering by their banker.

I meant no offense in my earlier post, nor this one, I just wanted to say that the analysts do have a significant influence on the stock.

< So why should the person who buys the million shares get information from the officers of the company? >

Anyone, whether an individual investor or brokerage analyst, can get info by calling the company. I've spoke to QNTM a number of times in the past and they've always answered the questions I posed. One needs to have well thought out questions and at times, read between the lines.
