He was, when they were at 7%. The feds are doing everything possible to manipulate the CPI to eliminate inflation. It is clear the gov does not want to raise interest rates. Pretty soon the feds will start taking out the pickles from the 99 cent hamburger to create a 95 cent hamburger, etc, etc. Average salary is 20,000 a year and the market basket reflects prices for the joe sixpack. So the feds assume the use of discount retailers, generic brands, used cars and substitute products. The reduction in interest rates has kept the stock market moving up, though there is much less risk in bonds for the same return.
