p,

Yes. The signals have been sent this week. Very loud and very clear. The screw-up with Operation Twist (it was just misunderstood...the message was, "find other assets, as Treasuries are going to fxxx you".

Now we just have to wait for the clowns to believe it. They will.

"It's coming....the next wave of monetization will make 2008-9 look like the stone age." Got $200 trillion? ;-)

If the debasement continues what does that do to bond yields (short and long)?

I think we all agree that TBT will one day be the investment (not trade) to be in.

We have been talking about since the 40 range and it continues to slide. I see nothing to stop the slide IF the mkt also slides.

I will wait on TBT till 10-12 range.

We all know the yields HAVE to go up......but i dont see the impetus for the move with fed saying they are going keep them low.

Oh we keep hearing how other govt will stop buying our bonds (for 15 years i have heard that)....i guess now even if they did what does it matter if the fed buys them????

"It's coming....the next wave of monetization will make 2008-9 look like the stone age."

Let's hope!

Can't do that thing if you don't have that bling ... Been that way for awhile, it seems. Saw this pre-Columbian fellow down in Cuenca, Ecuador recently:

Funny timing on your simile and my travels. In 2008 you mentioned gold hanging from the ears of peasants the same night I saw that very thing ...

Perhaps you could say something about California NGD holders being wealthier than during the Gold Rush. <g>
