Today is the last trading day for KLIC this FY11, so in 3 to 4 weeks we should get both a quarterly report and the annual report. KLIC has been doing quite well lately in the earnings department, but it gets little respect by the market. It is selling for very low PE numbers, both for Cur Yr and Nxt Yr. For this past 3rd quarter, earnings were 0.95, and estimates for 4th quarter are a consensus 0.27. Only 4 analysts follow the stock.

The current year estimate is 1.99 and for next year is 1.48. This of course is a bit of a "downer" in that rising earnings would be much better. Nevertheless, with the price as low as it is presently, next year's PE is just a litle over 5.

As we all know by now, earnings reports are a serious business, and stocks can move violently in either direction depending on the actual earnings number compared to the estimate, and the company review of the future outlook.
