One CNNMoney reader said about raising taxes -
"Wacker said that five years ago, when he was only making $17,000 a year, he still lived a good life. Now, at $40,000 a year he lives a better life but says he and his wife spend money on unnecessary things, like eating out too often."

Hmm... When he eats out "too often", he is actually supporting a job. At one point couple of years ago, we used to eat sushi at a fine sushi place every day - spent 60-80 a meal. I think we practically kept the biz alive which is now a succesful one. I think that consumption - necessary or not, is a great thing! Why tax it like crazy? Let people consume and create jobs - just don't do it from the govt side...
