Yes the Valdez operation is interesting. There would be a lot of ways to do more work in the winter if you get out of the box. For placer since the rate of return is higher for summer months only, cold weather has been avoided. In Yukon most operations are funded privately so people are cautious. For drilling, Golden Predator made an attempt last winter with drilling. You know when it hits -40 the metal is cold on the fingers. You're right though people need to think outside the norm for solutions.
