Well, I agree. I follow ECRI who have been accurate in calling recessions and business cycle recoveries since I've known them. Here is an article with two of my charts showing ECRI's WLI, GDP growth and the S&P500

Remember Brinker called us "Recession Casandras" after I published an article for them on my blog announcing a recession was unavoidable in early 2008. If I recall, Brinker was patting himself on the back for buying and the market had rallied back to 1400s one last time before going to 666.

OTOH, Bob Brinker has been fully invested since March 2003 and he gave a "gift horse buying opportunity" when the market was in the 1500s for the mid 1400s. To this day, he's been consistent since then... new buy signals for every dip while being fully invested the whole time and giving advice to "dollar cost average" in new money except for when he has these magical "buy signals."
