I would wait until Venezuela's Chávez has got all his gold and checked it is free of tungsten contaminants before slamming vital body parts on hard wooden surfaces. It could be a big shock to the world if that deal goes sour for whatever reason.

Mantega may trust the BOE but I don't.

I think the Chavez gold move is very sensible for his country, I am suspicious of why everyone else thinks it's a bad move. I suspect strongly the press has been told what to write.
