Could have something to do with the image being re-sized when uploaded to SI. Would have to ask Brad, he will be back Monday.

Your image on Fotothing is 911x738. When you upload an image to SI that is larger than 800 pixels wide, it gets re-sized to a maximum of 800 pixels wide, so your image would become 800 pixels wide by 648 pixels high.

This re-size feature is not as sophisticated as using a program like Photoshop, where it will save image detail and quality when re-sized, I re-sized your image to 600x486, and you don't loose any detail:

On a photo being re-sized when uploaded, I don't think you would see anything that noticeable, but a chart with all these lines, you will loose some quality. Brad *may* increase the maximum width to 1000 pixels. Lets wait and see.

I increased the allowable image size from 800px to 967px (so that on a 1024px wide monitor, the horizontal scrollbar won't be invoked).

If you upload something larger than 967px, it will auto-resize down to 960px.

So under the new settings, your 911px chart would have uploaded as is.

Unfortunately I can't yet control the size of *external* (linked but not uploaded) images.
