The union movement in the United States is weaker than it has been any time in the last 100 years. Workers who have jobs are terribly vulnerable to increases in the cost of living. Some corporations are accumulating huge amounts of cash.

I am speaking of private sector unions. From Wikipedia:"American union membership in the private sector has in recent years fallen under 9% — levels not seen since 1932. Unions allege that employer-incited opposition has contributed to this decline in membership."

Public sector unions are something else. Is that what you meant?
