Yes, but that really has nothing to do with his question. His question was what could drive up LT rates. And, at some point in the future, a Dollar decline would do that.

The bounce in the Dollar is just a counter-trend rally. It will not last.

Bernanke can do all kinds of things in the short term. But, medium and longer, well, not so much.

hmmm while we have been focusing on Europe and US which has basically zig zagging in the same place for 2 months, china has quietly cracked below 17K.......
