Yes, divide and conquer has unfortunately worked very well for hundreds of years. I think union are great. They help to even out an uneven playing field. The corporations have so much power and unions enable workers to get some leverage against that monolith of power. I agree with the Frederick Douglass quote that power never concedes anything unless it has to. I am also very concerned for future generations. The way this country is being hollowed out it looks like they are going to inherit, as you said, a shit sandwich.
