I see it more simply -- king buck and king bonds are one and the same thing. This is a global slowdown, epic, generational -- but it must proceed over some time. It takes a little while to dethrone an empire. Already said it, but flight to bonds and the buck -- not a sign that these are great values, intrinsically -- but great "relative values" viz claims on the future earnings of most enterprises wherever. It's going to be tough all over to show great returns during a depression.
