I wasn't participating during that time when moderators changed. elmer use to be one against bans, you have an ignore feature, use it he would say... what would you think of an AMD employee moderating the Intel thread?

We need a reset here. The role of the moderator is to maintain order and civility. Nothing more. This is a new concept here for the Faithful to grasp but the moderator is not here to impose any particular view. You can't blame them for expecting the moderator to demand a particular viewpoint, so it's taking some time for them to come around. Once they realize they can post any view with impunity perhaps they will see fit to return. On the other hand, perhaps they aren't so Faithful any more... You notice Steve hasn't been banned. He put the "F" in Faithful.
