i correct you and had corrected countless others, that the low for gold in 2011 happened w/i the month of january, and effectively we started 2011 jan 1st at the low from the get-go.

iow, gold is up for 2011, not down! at least not yet.

given that usa equity indices are still at elevated start of 2011 levels, i may hedge my gold wager with purchase of out of money puts on usa equity indices.

usd going up and euro bank blowing up cannot be good for much of anything else with the possible exception of either yen and/or gold.
