Old stereotypes are changing. Obama seems VERY strong on defense, and does a great job fighting terrorism, much more efficient and cost effective than the Bush approach.

If it comes to fighting in the streets, the rw has all the guns and the ammunition they need and they will not hesitate to use force. Liberal Democrats have to occupy the higher moral ground. We need Obama to buy Liberal Democrats some time so someone like Elizabeth Warren can lead us out of this mess. Obama, Bernanke, Geithner, etc are not the enemy. We will need their support. Although I agree with Krugman and Stiglitz, they are not the solution. They are academicians and would not be comfortable in any other role. It is not like we don't know the problem and that Krugman and Stiglitz know something no one else knows. What we need is leadership. Liberal Democrats all know what we want - the problem is in getting there.
