But the US of A is now embracing socialism and communist-style central economic planning. China and India, one communist and one socialist, are still on the ascendancy. They don't have free markets do they. Free markets where groups live for a day to loot and plunder and leave the masses to die like a squeezed out lemon. We need regulations to safeguard the freedoms of the majority. Here is a classic example. In a capitalist system, when banks raise their fees, people are free to move their money elsewhere. There would normally move it to a bank which charges them no fees, right? Now what if there are no banks that do so and all banks charge fees. Then what does the consumer do. Extoll the virtues of the free market? In a socialist or communist system, they would prohibit other banks to raise the fees. while at the same time require people to discipline themselves by becoming a cash based individual, particularly for small amounts like daily shopping etc. How would Romney or Perry do anything better? Romney claims to be a builder whereas all he has done is a fixer-upper. Perry says that "we need to have a debate." and his wife says it is OK to have minimum wage jobs since "a job is a job." That is what I expect an illegal immigrant to say because that is why they come here.
