I think it was easy to see. Maybe not in 2000 but soon there after...but if you owned a house or houses...or a business related to houses, materials, furniture, kitchens, granite countertops, mortgages etc...it was just letting the good times roll with no thought of "this is going to end badly" as some of us could see coming right here on this BB. If you said anything you were just a wet blanket and asked why aren't you participating in the orgy?

The real slap in the face was bailing out the irresponsible, the home builders, the banksters. What a nightmare.

Obama/Congress blew it when they stuck with the wrong socialistic agenda for the first 2 years. Now it's the fram oil filter agenda all over again.

Still the US is better off than Europe but we continue to make it worse while at least Europe is talking about austerity. Albeit...not enough yet.
