I agree, today's action should not be seen as "the bottom" unless we can see it in hindsight 3 months from now. We just hit an incredibly oversold point, 4+days down hard. It was a great day to be stalking the market!!

Way too early to call the "semis have bottomed" as well. While this would be a natural place to rebound, a true bottom will need improvements in demand to soar over the next 6 months. There is a chance that this will occur but to bet on it at this stage isn't necessary, IMO. I don't need to catch THE bottom. I need to be in the stocks when the rising tide is the trend. One day's rebound off an oversold condition is not a trend change!
