And why should you need a State license to cut hair, or do nails, or almost anything else?

I remember reading a story about this woman who was working in a salon braiding hair until the state found out that she didn't have a cosmetology license... Turns out they forced her to get the certificate even though they didn't teach hair braiding in the school..... go figure.

You're right about that. There are so many areas in the system that could be fixed by free market competition, it's lunacy to impose even more govt controls.
