Its both. Bad timing is bad luck (although the bad timing had little to do with following Bush, and more to do with economic cycles, and housing booms and busts).

But its not just bad luck/timing. Obama's words and policies have also been harmful to the economy. His idea that increasing taxes, and imposing higher regulatory costs while subsidizing politically favored industries, is not a good way to move America forward.

Obama has done just about everything in his power to make matters worse...
