thx not to worry I am 'hip' to the game playing with the ETF's ... would only do a super short time frame and only use them for 'ease' and to get a little extra juice out of one of those wild rides with at least 2x the index ... or to play like commodities easily i.e. the 2x ETF out there. I think the time to have really taken advantage of those has kind of come and gone but one never knows.

My MAIN plan right now is to wait for that buy signal we are all waiting for then get aggressive. Even now initiating a partial long in a number of stocks that have taken a beating then incrementally adding at each, say, 5 or so % down would likely do very well over the long haul. For now will keep an eye out for news and charts posted on SI for any opportunistic play. 'takeover' rumors are usually a good time to take a short term ride but the recent ones (yhoo, rimm, etrade) make so little fundamental sense hard to take a stab i.e. likelyhood of an actual deal that pops the price way up seems remote in these times.
