I'd still like to see Obama give to promotions to two deserving administration officials... Biden to Secretary of State and Hillary to VP...

The problem Chinu is that Bush and Obama have been contributing factors to the ongoing economic mess. Bush was a bigger contributor to it than Obama, to be sure, but both are culpable.

But if you want the root cause, it is really neither of them. Greenspan and Bernanke are more culpable than anyone else. Bush and Obama are bit actors in comparison. The real problem is the unholy alliance between the Fed and the Too Big To Fail Banks. Both Bush and Obama could have worked to destroy that alliance and return us to free markets. Neither has done so.

Therefore, I don't believe either party will fix this problem. The only one who stands a chance is Ron Paul, because he truly understands the nature of the economic problem we are facing. No one else on that stage does. If we don't reign in the Fed and force them to protect a stable currency and get them out of the business of managing the economy through rates and all the other mechanisms they've been employing and if we don't break up the insolvent banks and turn the financial industry into a stodgy boring, slightly profitable business, then this problem will only continue to get worse until it not only destroys our economy, but destroys our Democracy and everything else we've built as well.

"I don't think anybody sane person wants to be President now, less so Hillary."

It would be like going to hell. Who wants that?
