There have been ad hoc moves, but they solved nothing.
RBS in London, UBS in Switzerland, BAC, C in the US.
AIG? Forget that puppy, headed back to zero despite nationalization.
What about Fannie and Freddie? We keep them off US government
balance sheet to keep our country's rating from going straight to BBB or lower,
and the Fed is full of their paper and buying more with operation twist.
We are in the process, a process that is now bankrupting nations.

As derivatives blow, somebody loses, somebody
wins. Is it right for the govt to nationalize the loser?
That obviously bails out the winner.

The second question: How can you nationalize
the winner?
