It seems he worked because it was his passion and he loved it, not for the money. The great wealth was a byproduct of that passion. A very lucky man who finds something he loves that pays well too.

He is a great example of the difference between greed and self interest. He only reaped after he built and built well. Greedy men don't leave any legacy. Jobs certainly did.
