So far I haven't had any shares called back. E*Trade said they might have to call back 79 shares of CDRD once (why 79?) but it never materialized. I do check the short interest on any stock I contemplate shorting and tend to avoid heavily shorted stocks. The choppy market right now makes for quick, vicious short squeezes.

Manufactured short squeezes - this is the dream on many penny stock threads here. Go read the OVIS/RMIL thread if you have a few weeks to catch up and like a lot of nonsense. I made money there by buying in on the perception of a short squeeze and selling when the stock leveled and didn't shoot up. I actually left $2 on the table by not taking profits at the top. Live and learn. Most manufactured short squeezes don't happen. Buy the rumor and sell the news if you can. I won't buy any more pennies with PLRN still hanging around my portfolio.

TO ALL: I will be out of touch until Monday on a trip where I won't have Internet access. Plenty of stop orders left to watch over my portfolio. It's probably good that I can't watch the ticker for a few days. Good luck.
