Just wanted to add my 2 cents. I am not big on technical analysis but like others, I do try to look at the chart from a technical perspective before I buy or sell but I like to base my decisions on fundamentals.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this but I think it's more the technical traders that create the market opportunities for the fundamental opportunities. What causes stocks to be oversold? I would say it's panic sellers (sheep who don't do any analysis) as well as technical traders saying the graph doesn't look as attractive now that it's going down. Then the fundamental investors see the opportunity and start buying. Then the chart looks better so the technical traders jump in.

Just my 2 cents.

I believe there is something to the technical side but I'd be the 1st to admit I don't know a heck of a lot about it.

While not exactly in-line with what we are talking about, this press release shows that some form of technical analysis even has a place with the big institutions.
