Dan:

I took a quick look at the fundamentals and the chart of REAL. What's not to like about the company. The only holdback might be the effect of the asian markets on their Singapore operations, otherwise the company appears to be in excellent shape.

The company had 14.6 millon in backlog as of September, 1997 as compared to a backlog of 9.9 million on December 31, 1996. Current asset to current liabilities ratio is a healthy 2.2 to 1. The company bought 1.3 millon shares back for 8.3 million when they thought the share price was undervalued. 1997 revenues are expected to be up 25% over last year and 1997 earnings are expected to be up 100% over last year. Earnings increases are primarily to an increase in net earnings and a decrease in the number of outstanding common shares.

The first 9 months of 1997 yielded 32.8 million in sales compared to 25.0 million for the first 9 months in 1996. Earnings for the first 9 months of 1997 increased .46 (.17 due to the decrease in the common shares).

Company has 1 strong buy rating from the brokerage following the company. Outstanding shares are 6.02 million with a float of 3.2 million and a market cap of 129.1 million.

The five year chart shows a steady uptrend in share price. The short term chart shows that the stock is starting to regain on high volume the upward momentum it had in October when it reached its high of 30 3/4. Stock price is currently at 21 3/4 and all indications are that it will regain 30 and continue its longterm uptrend.

I only took a quick look at the company fundamentals, so I must admit I did not spend more than 1/2 an hour in research, but I did not find an flagrant red flags. I like the company and think you will see green with some patience over the intermdiate term.

I'm not a TA expert and would think you might ask Doug R. or one of the other TA'ers for their opinion, but the fundamentals look good.
