I remember when I was getting my MBA, I walked into my bank one day and saw it filled with young people getting loans. At that point, I'd been working for years and had interviewed job candidates who'd graduated from the same school and were now selling paint or phones. I worked my way through school - that's the way to go. I thought all those kids in there getting loans were idiots even then.

I can remember once going to college and my Mom giving me gas money one day ... everything else I paid for. Oh, I'm stretching that - I lived at home, avoided rent and ate there - but that one time was the only money I remember taking from anyone. And I kinda regret that.
