Totally agree with you on how our politicians have pushed the jobs overseas. That is correctable with some high level policy prescriptions. If I were President, I would label China a currency manipulator officially. That would start a process, which could lead to tariffs on Chinese goods and would ultimately protect US manufacturers. There are other steps we could take as well to destroy the labor arbitrage that other countries like China have taken advantage of. But we don't seem to have the leaders with the will power to do it. BTW, Congress has repeatedly signaled to Obama that we should get tough with China on their currency manipulation. Why hasn't Obama gotten tough? Well, for the same reason he hasn't gotten tough on anything else. He's simply NOT tough.
