Steve, I am watching that level closely myself. Though we are very close to 7750, you have to consider these factors:
1) Today's volume is not at all impressive.
2) Indices looked strong but the broader market is weak. We have 70% more new lows than new highs. Most of the new highs are in the defensive stocks.
3) This options expiry week and things can be distorted in general.

Keep your eyes open, but don't try to read too much in to 7750 as a magic number.

Joss, yep...looks like Mohan is cracking :)

I have been walking around 7750-7750-7750 it becomes my Mantra and that Thread Star gets chicken. <VBG>

Stars must get strange and scary EMails at home about life savings etc., the heat starts to build...then snap.
