Yes, you are partially right------WWII brought many women into the work force as the nation was united after the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

It was either fight or die. There was hardly a person in America that was not involved and united in keeping America safe, defending our European Allies and yes protecting the Pacific including Hawaii that wasn't yet a state.

Not all women worked in the defense industry------some did. Not all women flew airplanes-----some did.

Many women served as the keepers of the home fires as their husbands went to battle and worked in the defense plants. These were the women who cut and sewed their children's clothes ------packed boxes of toothbrushes and bandages for the men in battle.

The mothers of the young men who went to war at early ages in their teens presided and grieved at their sons funerals. These were the young mothers of age 40 to 50 who did not work in defense plants.

Yes, I stand by everything I wrote---------the real onslaught on the family and the nation was the feminist movement of the 1960's and early 1970's. The Socialist at all levels of government then built their system despite the protests of society to take control of every move that a person makes.

That is where we are today as Obama has embraced that philosophy of taking and giving control to a Federal Government based upon the Socialist and Comumnist theories of governance and the family.
