Sorry to respond so long removed. You're quite right about the anxiety involved in babysitting these unstable issues. I have taken my profits and begun chasing a grey wolf over in the oil drilling sector.
I respect your ideas regarding never sinking money into stocks under 12. without some sort of proof of income. Wise thought and one I will no doubt have fun grappling with for awhile. Another fellow I listen to in my less manic spells is the founder of Berkshire holdings. His philosophy, which I'm sure your aware of, is to always favor stocks whose return on equity is 20% or better. Somehow I've for the most part managed to avoid taking that advice, but I throw it on the scale as another consideration. As long as it stays fun, I quess. Happy trails, Scott.
