Archie,

I certainly agree with your long term assesment of ABTX. The price consolidation now taking place will eventually provide a new base, which will support the next leg up into the teens. I think it is ok to be a light buyer from 8 3/4 - 8 1/4; and more serious buying from 8 1/4 - 6 3/4. That's if it even gets to any of these areas! The next close above 10 1/2 should also signal the resumption of ABTX's climb to new highs.

regards,
glen

I do not know who NUTMEG is, but they gave a lousy review as far as I'm concerned, on the ABTX website. They are a new research report(as of Nov.5), that has estimates no where near PJ or G, or even Fairview of old. Heck, they can't even add-FY1998 they have estimated eps for each quarter that total .19, but for the year they have .18. Whatever.

It could be this low estimate that is hurting us shortterm. Their FY1999 and FY2000 are way lower than everyone else's, too.

Archie,

If ABTX does not give me the chance to buy lower, I would be very happy to be wrong for having been cautious. I consider today's announcement regarding the two new management positions as very positive. The Chairman will concentrate on strategic growth anf financing, while the new President will be acting to insure internal grow and a properly working transition of all the acquisitions, old and new. In other words, it's full steam ahead. Perhaps we won't have to wait an entire winter before the the next leg up into new high territory begins.

regards,
glen
