If you are referring to the next generation ASIC, I'm not aware of any new equipment/facilities announcement for that product. It should be a leading edge product line when ready. Value of story, IMO, is to point out the direction and timing of new designs. If all 7 metal layers are copper on a 300mm wafer, that's a big new equipment order by itself. Regards---jtj <<eom>>

IBM, and NY Governor Pataki, announced yesterday that IBM plans to build a new semi mfg facility in Fishkill, NY, if that is the 'big announcement" you are talking about. FYI.
