In 2004 Robert Shiller (economics professor at Yale and according to Susskind in line for a nobel prize, of the famous (case-shiller real estate index) tried to tell the top CEO's in a big meeting that the real estate market was in a monster bubble.

"Geithner ignored Shillers warnings and summarily removed him from the board."

<<<< it becomes clear just how incestuous the huge investment bank power brokers and government (including Obama) is. >>>>>>> ..................<<<<<This is what...., Krugman..... have been warning us about. >>>>>>>

I'll give you credit for being Krugmans most loyal fan in the entire world! Just who do you think is the beneficiary of every stimulus program? Who are they - the government - trying to prevent from collapsing with all that stimulus money? .........THE BANKS!

They are trying to prevent another Lehman and they are doing the same thing again in Europe - Greece. Do you think they are bailing out the Greek people? Heck NO - they are trying to prevent the banks from going under.

That Koan, is why I keep discussing Blanenfein's thinking at GS where he says the banks (we're talking big investment banks here not the local Credit Unions) can now get back to doing ......"god's work"! God's work to them is stuffing money into their pants. YOUR MONEY - tax payers money.
