I didn't realize that I was even talking to Ron Darling until the conversation got underway. I started the conversation talking about how great they made the chocolate shake floats at this Carvel. Ron agreed and said he always tries to come to this Carvel. He then asked me what I did for a living. I told him I was a teacher and private tutor. He then asked me how my tutoring business was. I said surprisingly good. I have more people who want to use me than I have time slots for. I quickly added that I was not a business person. Ron then said that if you are as booked up as you say, you must be a very good business person. It then all of a sudden hit me that I was talking to Ron Darling, baseball pitcher for the Mets. I then said that it must be great to relax during the offseason. He said you have no idea. There is so much pressure during the season, I look forward to the offseason. I asked him how he liked playing in NY. He said NY is great when you are pitching well and not so good when you are not pitching well.

As I said, the conversation was pretty brief, as I had to go.
