What a mish-mash. It seems that the world view is that they hate capitalism? Which you reference with the good quote from Any Rand. Although I do agree that capitalism has been undermined by cronyism. Example, Obama support for Solyndra. There's a good example of corporate welfare. United States corporate tax rate is one of the highest in the world. How is the government supposed to support trade unions? Trade unions are lawful. The right to form trade unions is protected by law. The right to NOT join a trade union is protected by law, in many states (but not all). What more is to be done?
