I spent half my life in the public sector and half my life in private sector and 25 years in politics. In the public sector the people had much more empathy than in the private sector. There is so much accepted fraud in the private sector it has always been hard for me to even be there e.g. take stock brokers: they are ordered to sell crap to their customers. In real estate they openly teach people how to trick people into buying stuff they don't want. In the banking sysem they use complexity and trickery to increase their commissions like interest rates, points etc. So it really comes down to the human condition. The sane, intelligent folks are in the democratic party and have been there for 50 years. If you are a trickster or low information voter you go to the Republcian party. Look at these Tea Party folks. They could not find one adequately sane or intellligent person out of more than a dozen they put forth to run. So the Republicans will pick romney in the end and he is just a normal power hungry person who will do anything to win but has nromal intelligence and sanity, IMO.
