I'm not an expert, but it's mainly a matter of buying in controlled blocks on downticks only, I believe. There are some stocks out there with a totally wild deviation between the money going in and price action.

If you look at the one miinute chart for today, there were a couple of large blocks early with no price movement, then a big step late on a 2k transaction.

Never hurts to take profits, but keep your eyes on it, could move fast when it goes.
