It's being suggested that News Corp chit can Murdoch.

"Whilst these are difficult issues for the company to address, we believe that to secure News Corp's long-term future such reform is necessary."

Unusual to see it expected that a modern corporation hold the guys at the top accountable for their actions. There is absolutely no doubt what the culture under Murdoch has been, and he is most responsible to what has gone on at the News of the World etc. Litigation, either in the courts or out of it will demonstrate this, and there is lots of exposure, and it is beginning to bite financially. Some of the cases settled have been for a $1m or more.

The longer Murdoch stays, the harder a kicking both he and News Corp are going to get.

Couldn't happen to nicer people as far as I am concerned -g-
