"My question with Cain can carry his own race and independents."

I don't think any of the possible Republican nominees could carry the African American vote. Cain has stated that he thinks he could win a third of it or more. In my opinion I don't think Romney or Perry could even get 10%. George W Bush only got 16% when he won in 2004. The question I have is how big will the turnout be. Black unemployment is higher today than it was in November 2008.

"From what I have read, the Southern Baptist are supporting Perry and not supporting Romney since Romney is Mormon. Can anyone explain to me why?"

First time I heard that. Perry is a Methodist while Herman Cain and Ron Paul are Baptists.

"Or, is it just because Romney is Mormon. Hell, I remember when Kennedy was not being supported by Protestants because he was Catholic, a stupid decision in my opinion."

Well I guess that leaves Gingrich out. You will probably find it hard to believe but he is a Catholic.

Cain is like all potential candidates as he gets visibility via means other than the mainstream media he could well get the GOP nomination and become the President of the USA.

President Kennedy was elected because people of non-catholic faith voted for him. He could not have been elected without their support.

This election is about the present, the future of America and the world, I don't see this as an election based on race or religion.

I do see this election as a referendum on all of the failed Socialists policies of Obama and his Czars.
