Here are the latest BD benchmarks. Google "Translate" will handle Romanian.

lab501.ro

Let me summarize: The 8 Core DullBozer is Slower and hotter than the 4 core Sandy Bridge it is intended to compete against. But we knew it would be. A real disappointment.. With no production in sight, it may be competing against Ivy Bridge. In my opinion, AMD should not release this product. It will be heaping humiliation on top of embarrassment. AMD should cancel this project immediately and redirect their resources toward areas where they are competitive. Rory, the new CEO has no ties with the Jerry/Hector era so he doesn't need to keep up the Jihad at the expense of the shareholders. Cut your losses AMD and get out of the highend market.

Mr Guru,

Re: "Which part do you think pinpoints my ignorance ..."

The "part" where you think "BSDoozer" is going to be competitive. ROTFLMAO.

BTW, where are all the "genius AMDroids" flogging the "BSDoozer benchmarks"??!!

Mahmoud

MM, I don't "see" that part. In fact, I challenge you to find a post of mine where I "rate" BD's performance either in absolute terms or relative to any Intel "part".

I've been in the "wait and see" camp all along.

If you're wondering why the "faithful" are "hiding", it's probably because they don't want any of the BS that's flying fast & furious in these parts getting on them.

PS: Wasn't I supposed to have abandoned AMD for the shiny new ARM "thing" already?
