The street variety is bathtub cooked using a variety of toxic chemicals. It's the contaminants used to make bathtub meth that cause the ravages you see in those photos.

My favorite TV show is "Breaking Bad," about a HS Chemistry teacher who finds out he dying of Lung Cancer and sets out to leave a pile for his family by making meth. They spend a good bit of time showing his lab procedures and talking about the fact that the Cartel loves him because he can make purer meth than any of their chemists.

It used to be cooked down from P2P which got banned. Now it has stuff like anhydrous ammonia in it.

The NG video I was talking about said street cooking has gone way down and the main supply is now from Mexican cartels.
