Good question... let's see if I can help you out here...

First of all, a G.I. Bill is EARNED for serving... Social Security is not an entitlement, you actually receive back the money you put into it... welfare is an entitlement which is NOT earned... any questions?

LOL, isn't that G.I. Bill one of those government entitlement programs, or handouts...or the government dole?

Or are you "entitled" to it like the old folks getting Social Security, Medicare and other handouts.

How come all the conservative right-wing nutcases "deserve" their entitlements because they worked all their lives. [and contributed about $121.32] Put the pencil to it...government welfare is all it is.

Here are a few pointers for you, son.

First of all, the G.I. Bill is earned in exchange for services rendered, but it is not surprising that a liberal would disgracefully attack service members by suggesting otherwise.

Secondly, Social Security and Medicare comes in two flavors.

Flavor 1: For normal, working citizens, Social Security and Medicare are partial repayments of money that was forcibly taken from them at gunpoint by the government over the span of their lives.

Flavor 2: For worthless deadbeats, undesirables, and illegals, Social Security and Medicare represent another free link to the government's Marxist tit at the expense of working taxpayers.

Make no mistake! Virtually all conservatives would totally abolish Social Security and Medicare in a heartbeat. We neither need nor desire socialism or help from the government to control ourselves or our lives. That's the hallmark of the Left. -ng-

The G.I. Bill is earned by veterans. It is part of their compensation package. If you think the compensation is too generous that is a different topic. Everybody doesn't go to college on the G.I. Bill, only veterans with honorable discharges. That isn't an entitlement.
