Nahhhhh ... I never thought TXN would bid with all that extra Cash they had just laying around. Especially given the relationship with Amati. Still wondering on this action today. Seems, how can I say it, more of a stall while waiting for the real McCoy.

Now I wonder which wholly owned subsidiary of TXN is tendering Amati. Couldn't be that Hard Drive company TXN bought that JW@KSC was talking about a long time ago.

You think they will buy up more synergistic companies to make a new recipe and then ... IPO it?

I don't know about Lucent. They've been so quiet I wonder if they've changed their mind about ADSL. You've have thought they would have been at Amati's door the day after the drop.

But I'd love to see a white knight, whether his horse is white or not.
