There is a stigma against trades today... I dunno why... some of the brightest folks I know are self employed tradesmen

I think this is one of the best times in a generation to learn a trade.I was thinking of that when I paid over 300 bucks to have my lousy drain unplugged a few weeks ago. When, oops, I mean IF my sewer line fails before I sell the place, it will trigger a 20k repair job, with jackhammers and all that rot. Maybe 30k.
