serious default/devaluation risk. US is perceived to
be safe, safer than Germany.It may not be safe,

The catalyst will a currency crisis with the dollar plunging to all time lows. The catalyst for that will be the loss, or partial loss of our reserve currency status; or some black swan event.

Reserve currency status has allowed us to offshore most of the consequences of our monetary profligacy; but the clock is running out on that little game.
