PV,

Awesome. Small venues offer something you'll just never get in an arena.

The cool thing about my favorite guitar genre (acoustic solo fingerstyle) is that I can see the best players in the world (except Tommy Emmanuel) in 200 seat venues. I saw Pete Huttlinger from the second row in a joint with maybe 120 seats, and this is one of the top five players in the world. Crazy. And Laurence Juber (seen him a few times) will just stand there and talk with you in the hall after he is done playing. It's an unfair world for artists, as many of these guys have chops that many mega rock stars could never play, but no one knows their names.

You are very lucky to have seen one of the true greats in a place like that. Very cool.
